Invitation to OAA Year Group Presidents

I would like to invite all OAA Year Group Presidents to a meeting at the SSNIT Guest House on Friday, 22nd June 2018 at 6 pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how best to get more Akoras to contribute to tackling the several problems faced by the School and OAA.

While it is obvious that Year Groups contribute significantly to improvement projects at the School, there is enough evidence that these are sometimes poorly coordinated, and then leave no lasting effect at the School.

The situation is compounded by the fact that every day brings up a new urgent challenge that needs to be tackled.

The OAA tries its best to assist the School in dealing with urgent and other challenges, but its efforts are severely constrained for many different reasons.

We would like this meeting to discuss the land encroachment challenge and how best Akoras can help to deal with it. The meeting will also look into how best to complete all outstanding projects through proper coordination.

I am inviting Year Group Presidents to meet with the Executive Committee in order to take major decisions relating to coordination and contribution that can be implemented through year group activities.

Please pass this message on to your Year Group President. We will not like the roll call to show that your Year Group was not represented when it mattered most. For planning purposes we would like you to call the Secretariat to let us know if your group will be attending or not. Thank you very much.

Ernest Aryeetey
OAA President
